RootThru is a geotextile fabric made from 100% plant-based, sustainable materials. With RootThru, you plant your seeds directly on the barrier and watch them grow and root through it. RootThru is permeable to air, water, and plant roots from above, but controls weeds below, and is an alternative to hand weeding and herbicides for narrowly spaced plants. Any seed can be planted on RootThru including vegetables like lettuce, spinach, carrot, kale, beet, pea, and onion, and flowers like zinnia, sunflower, coneflower, marigold, snapdragon, or daisy.
