This RBC Bearings angular contact spherical plain outer ring provides a hardened and ground contact surface for RBC Bearings IRB—SA Series inner rings. An outer and inner ring together forms a complete angular contact bearing. The ring is made of through hardened 52100 steel, which meets ASTM International standard A485 for strength, and the contact surface is ground and heat treated to a Rockwell hardness of HRC 56 minimum for resistance to wear. The surface is phosphate treated and coated with a dry film lubricant for static applications and occasional movements. This outer ring has oil holes and elliptical lubrication grooves for improved distribution of oil lubricants applied in place for dynamic applications. It has a standard operating temperature range of -60 to 300 degrees F (-51 to 149 degrees C).
